STFU Poker League Rules
The STFU (for 30 seconds) Poker League is a No-Limit Texas Hold’Em poker league that will play 12 regular season tournaments to determine chip stacks for a championship tournament. The league will meet 6 times (once per month) and hold 2 tournaments / meeting. The fee to join the league is $25 (league fees will be the prize pool for the final tournament).
Monthly Tournaments
Each month the league will meet to play 2 tournaments. The buy-in for each tournament will be $10. All money collected for that tournament will be paid out based on a 60% - 30% - 10% scale. So for 10 people the each tournament would pay $60 to 1st, $30 to 2nd, and $10 to 3rd.

Points
Points will be awarded based on finishing order in each monthly tournament with the winner receiving points equal to the number of players in that tournament or the number of participants in the league, whichever is greater.* Each spot from second to last will receive 1 point less than the previous finisher. All tournaments must be played to completion (money may be split but points can not). Each monthly tournament should last no more than 2.5 hours.
Championship Tournament
After the league has played 12 monthly tournaments (6 months) we will have a single championship tournament. Starting chip stacks will be determined by points accumulated during the regular season (1 point = 50 chips). We will drop your 2 worst finishes and figure starting stacks based on your 10 best finishes of the season (this allows you to miss 1 night of the 6 and not be punished for it during the championship tournament). So if you lead the regular season with 80 points total after your 2 worst results were dropped, you’d start the championship tournament as the chip leader with T-4000 chips.

Starting chip stack determined by regular season points
The winner of the championship tournament will be the league champion and will receive 60% of the league fees, the second place finisher will receive 30%, and the 3rd place finisher will get 10%. Example if the league has 10 players: 1st = $150, 2nd = $75, 3rd= $25. The championship tournament should last 5 to 6 hours.
Other
For each monthly tournament night you will be asked to buy for $1 a STFU chip. You can use this chip one time per night to force your opponent to show his cards without calling his bet. All money collected will be used to buy snacks / food for tournament nights.
For each monthly tournament the high hand of the night (both tournaments) will receive 1 extra point (50 championship tournament chips). To qualify as the high hand the hand must be played to showdown.
For the championship tourney only, an add-on of 1000 chips for $20 will be offered before the start of the tournament. All money collected will go to sweeten the prize pool for the championship tournament.
All disputes will be settled using Roberts Rules of Poker
